In fact, content reach across social media platforms is dwindling and will keep going down as more brands get to recognize the importance of social interaction for business – because that is the sweet spot for social media platforms.

The truth is, it is not entirely your fault that you are not reaching your audience as much as you would like to. However, you can still do something to turn the situation around.

Sometimes you may be producing amazing content but not exactly what your audience wants. And even when they are right, the level of relevancy and engagement may vary across platforms. To understand what works and for which platform, it is important to try different forms of content – videos, images, quotes, GIFs, memes, etc. This will help you find a winning content format for your brand. The same can be done for posting time; especially if you are new to the social media thing.

Live videos are known to drive higher engagement than images and prerecorded videos, and most of the social media platforms offer live video feature.

So, instead of prerecording videos all the time, you can add a little transparency to your social media strategy and go live when you have the chance. The good part is that people can still watch the live video days after it has ended.

So, it’s like achieving two goals with one content.
