Some of the more successful businesses have earned their badge in paid per click marketing. To run a PPC marketing campaign successfully you need to be creative and have zero fear. You may think experimenting with Google AdWords is a costly venture, however, there is no gain unless something is spent. When you first start out your campaign, there are many things you will need to focus on.

– Creating ad variations and testing them

– Tweaking keywords and the ad copy in general

– Optimizing the landing page

– Continuous A/B testing

Your ad campaign needs a good click through rate. If the click through rate is peaking then it means you are paying less money towards the clicks itself. This means you can you can put the money back into the marketing campaign and aim for a higher click through rate.

You need to increase the quality score of the ad. The quality score depends on how much your ad was liked by Google. This impacts the cost per click as well. The metrics stands between 1-10, if you can manage a score over 5 you will have to work further on refining your keywords, the ad copy and landing page. The higher the score the more data you have to make the campaign more effective.

If you are funneling money but not seeing results, there are likely mistakes that you are missing. It may be you are not targeting your demographic effectively, pushing ads at the wrong time/day, the ad itself is below average or the relevance between the landing page and ad makes no sense.

This is where you need to exercise more care. You may have run a successful Google Adwords campaign before, it doesn’t mean that every campaign thereafter will be just as successful. You will need to work hard to equate your success on every campaign. Reinvent the wheel by improving the ad.

Not many marketers use the remarketing strategy. It is cheaper than running a new PPC campaign. Remarketing means engaging with prospective customers you’ve targeted before. They already know about your offer so they are more likely to click.

The solution to running an efficient PPC marketing campaign is to not continually roll out new ads, rather tweak and reinvent existing or well performing ads
