Can an image actually help increase website ranking on search engines? Apparently, a cool image can improve SEO and is one of the best ways to attract large volumes of traffic. If you are not familiar with combining infographics with SEO, or you are curious to find out more, let’s take a look.

Building traffic through an image
When a new website is launched, it doesn’t take off immediately. First, there is no brand recognition or credible reputation. An infographic can present your brand in a visual manner to potential followers and others. An image is more likely to grab the attention of users than say a lengthy piece of content. It will serve as the tipping edge, where people are drawn to your site purely because of a visually stunning image. As much as traffic is vital, so is branding. You can always reach out to websites interested in your infographic to help gain better traffic placements. Instead of writing out your company’s goals and mission, why not present it as an infographic? When you make an image part of your SEO strategy, it will certainly gain solid traction.

Infographics on social media and blogs

Infographics are great to draw in users through social media networks and blog readership. People tend to connect to images and if it is something they enjoy they are likely to subscribe to your blog or become a follower on your social media platforms. Infographics attract people that would not have found your brand, otherwise. Sometimes all it takes is a picture to do the job.

Images attract better responses

Studies have indicated consumers respond to images better than text. While there are voracious readers who would prefer to read long texts, most people do not have the patience and would prefer to look at images. If your image can present a story that inspires and motivates potential consumers to stay on for longer than the required time, you have breathed new life to your business. Infographics alone will draw in people who would have not considered looking at your site in the first place.

Content VS Image

A piece of content will become obsolete after a while. It will be read and re-read, liked, shared and commented on. But, it becomes old news and people move onto current news. An infographic, however, can continue to attract users than maybe content could in the long-term. Not much energy or time is required to look at an image as opposed to reading a blog post. An image may take a few seconds, a read-up will take at least a few minutes. This is why Infographics are advantageous. Promoting your brand through images is not time-consuming. It can be done quickly.

Infographics through data

Your business may have complex data that is not always easy to get across in an article. Complex reading may turn some people off, and not everyone who reads is going to understand it. How much easier to break down the complexity and display an infographic instead. The information will be easier to digest. And people are likely to share a data infographic than they are a data related piece of content.
