If Google finds irregularities in your NAP, it will not be able to tell which information is accurate and consequently your business will not be included in the search results.

  • Get as many citations as possible: Publicity in any form is good for business. In the world of SEO this translates to citations. Getting your business mentioned through a third party listing is like gold for you as it helps Google to verify whether the information you have provided about your business is true or not. The more citations the stronger your reputation and hence the higher you will be in the search results.

Google reviews are another way to go. If more and more people are talking about the positive experience they had with your company, it is only natural that it will influence the user to opt for your brand instead of some other company that has not received as many reviews.
